Golden City Council announces that three appointments to the Economic Development Commission will expire in September, 2009, and there is one vacancy for an appointment that will expire in September, 2010.

Applications (pdf) will be taken until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Interviews are tentatively scheduled to be held at the City Council Study Session, in the evening, Thursday, October 1, 2009 in the council chambers at City Hall, 911 10th Street.  Applicants must be a resident of the city, or property owner within the city or own a business in the City of Golden.

The Economic Development Commission was formed in 1999.  There are eight members.  Five members are selected from applications submitted to city council.  The remaining 3 members  are selected, one each, from Golden Urban Renewal Authority, Chamber of Commerce Visitors and convention Council and Chamber of Commerce retail committees.

The Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall.
