Water Quality Lab
Golden has its own State-certified laboratory to ensure that the treated drinking water is of high quality and complies with all standards under the Safe Drinking Water Act as established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Our drinking water is tested daily for several parameters beginning with the raw water supply from Clear Creek and ending with the finished water we drink. In addition, monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring is performed at the plant and at numerous consumer taps throughout the distribution system.
Some of the analytes tested include the following:
|
Coliform bacteria |
