Historic Surveyed Properties
The City of Golden has enacted a preservation ordinance that provides for the protection of designated historic sites and districts. The Historic Preservation Board is appointed by City Council to oversee the provisions of the ordinance which include supervising the preparation of historic building surveys, designating local landmarks and conducting programs to increase public awareness on historic preservation.
Surveys may involve the identification of historic homes in a residential area, the recording of commercial buildings in a downtown district or the gathering of archaeological information for local and/or state agencies or municipalities. The data resulting from properties surveyed will assist preservation planning within the City of Golden.
A pdf document that lists the properties surveyed is available here.
