Lower Heritage Square Parking Lot off of Heritage Road (State Highway 93) 

This trail is in the Jefferson County Open Space trail system, and the eastern access is in the City of Golden. The trail is 2.3 miles long between Heritage Square and Lookout Mountain Drive, gaining 1500' elevation. This is a moderate hiking trail, and also a popular mountain bike area. Wildlife include elk, deer, black bear, coyote, fox, rattlesnake, and raptors.
