Day Camps
The Golden Parks & Recreation Department offers a state licensed day camp for children ages 5-12 years old during the summer months, winter holiday break and spring break. Children enjoy weekly field trips, outdoor activities, cooking experiences, special interest guests (music, sign language, magicians, etc.), arts/crafts, games, swimming, gym time, playground, climbing, and much more. Trips to The Splash water park will be scheduled during the summer day camp.

Camp hours are 7:30-9:30 am for drop-off and 4-6 pm for pick up. Our program offers three registration options: M,W,F OR TU/TH OR MON-FRI. Parents may select a combination of the three as needed. Summer Camp offers a payment plan (if a credit card number is provided) with June due plus a $10 registration fee. July is due June 15th and August is due July 15th. All other camps are due at registration time. Our staff to child ratio is around 1-10. Summer Camp accepts 58 children and the other camps accept 20 kids per day. Children are required to bring a cold lunch and we provide the afternoon snack.
Parents must print the Registration Form, Emergency Packet & Parent’s Manual. Incorporated residents must turn in the Registration Form, Emergency Packet and child’s Immunization Record by 9 pm, Monday, March 15, 2010. All paperwork must be filled out completely in order to be processed into the lottery on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. The month of June, plus the $10 registration fee are due at registration time if a credit card number is provided for auto payments for July & August, or feel free to pay all fees up front. Parents will be notified within 5 days via email the status of their registration. No fee will be charged if your child is put on the waitlist. Non-residents may contact the front desk at 303-384-8100 on Monday, March 22, 2010 to see if any spots remain available. Forms may be dropped off, mailed or faxed to 303-384-8104, attn: Tracy. Summer Camp Open House is Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Stop by anytime between 5-6:30 pm.

Coconut Camp
Don’t sit around during spring break!! This state licensed day camp is guaranteed to keep your child busy! Activities include field trips, arts & crafts, gym, cooking, swimming, climbing and more. All campers required to bring a sack lunch. An afternoon snack will be provided. Required paperwork before attending camp: immunization record and emergency information pages from the Parent’s Manual. Summer Camp paperwork is retained and may be used for this camp.
