The City of Golden is located 15 miles west of Denver at the base of the Rocky Mountains.  Golden, the County Seat of Jefferson County, is home to the County offices, Coors Brewing Company, Colorado School of Mines, and several national and international corporations.  Founded during the Golden Rush in 1859, the City was the original Territorial Capital for the State of Colorado and has continued to prosper since.
